He acknowledges Sgt Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) whom he worked side-by-side with for years when he was a prosecutor.
Everyone raises a glass as he says the CPD will continue to be the city’s saving grace!
Voight interrogates Graynor, who swears he has never cheated on his wife before and has never blacked out before, so the only way this could have happened is this girl drugged him.
Voight says this is one hell of a theory as Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) asks him who would want to set him up. Voight wants to keep him in custody a while longer but his lawyer objects; Graynor trusts Sgt.
There were no shell casings found and 2 shots were fired but the victim was only shot once; Voight tells them to check ballistics to see if it connects to another crime.
He reiterates that she needs to talk to Voight and he is doing this to protect both of them.
Voight is upset that Kim went to her boyfriend, saying he doesn’t care who she sleeps with but he gives a damn who she shares her information with because the feds only help the feds.

Chicago PD begins tonight with some of the team attending an event held for congressman Scott Graynor (Scott Bryce), who talks about running for re-election and how CPD is under fire and insisting on supporting them, rather than attacking them because they are the best in the business.
Voight wants them to send the photo out to find their bald “friend”; Hailey says she spoke to robbery/homicide saying there is a ring of Eastern European who are not using hookers but they are identity thieves, who target wealthy men; the scam is run by the Odessa mob.
